Iranian President Criticizes Western Asian Governments for Failing to Cut Ties with Israel Amid Gaza Crisis

During a meeting with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi condemned certain governments in the West Asia region for maintaining economic relations with Israel despite its ongoing aggression against Palestinians in Gaza. Raisi emphasized that these governments are essentially funding Israel's war on Gaza and called out their indifference to the plight of the oppressed Palestinian people.

Raisi warned that governments continuing relations with Israel during the Gaza conflict will ultimately face repercussions for their actions. He stressed that the lack of action against Israel allows the regime and its main supporter, the United States, to perpetuate crimes in Gaza.

Attending the Gas Exporting Countries Forum summit in Algiers, Raisi highlighted Iran's support for Qatar's mediation efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Gaza. During his meeting with Sheikh Tamim, Raisi emphasized the importance of expediting the implementation of bilateral agreements between Iran and Qatar.

Sheikh Tamim expressed pride in the strong relations between Qatar and Iran, emphasizing that the brutal attack by Israel on Gaza will not be forgotten. Raisi also held discussions with other leaders, including those of Tunisia, Mozambique, and Iraq, expressing Iran's readiness to enhance economic cooperation and provide technological expertise to strengthen ties with Muslim countries.
